In 2007 Víctor Nubla was involved in a project with guitarist Jaume L. Pantaleón based on electric clarinets and guitars, called Nubla & Pantaleón. In 2009 Nubla was at the same time exploring the boundaries of electronics and poetry with writer Sebastià Jovani into the project Garfio de Doma. Then Nubla decided to propose to the others to mix both projects in one, and finally the three artists arrived to an idea: create a trio of electric music and electric poetry, based on the words of the great catalan poet Vicenç Altaió. The name of the band, Massa Fosca, is the title of one of the poems of Altaió.
Live Faverges is the complete recording of the concert by the band in the Le Bruit de la Neige festival, in Faverges, the 5th June 2009, that includes also the own poetry of Sebastià Jovani. The band invited the musician and composer Bernard Donzel-Gargand to processing the voice of Jovani.
