El 23 de febrero de 1981, Víctor Nubla y Enric Cervera se reunieron en casa del primero (el mítico piso de Raspall, 1) para deliberar sobre la posibilidad de componer y grabar un disco conjunto. De esta manera, el proyecto Naïf nació la noche del golpe de estado del 23-F, del cuál se enteraron en la panadería cuando bajaron a buscar pan para hacerse unos bocadillos. "Naïf" se grabó en los estudios Sonitec desde abril hasta septiembre de ese mismo año y en él participaron muchos músicos. Durante la grabación se incorporó al proyecto el guitarrista Albert Giménez y el disco acabó siendo un doble LP, titulado "Atlas", en el cual Giménez ocupó una cara, Nubla y Cervera otras tantas y la cuarta cara acogió la pieza de Cervera y Nubla, "Work Zöne". Este doble LP seria editado por Filobús Records en 1982. Sin embargo, Nubla y Cervera presentaron un año antes las primeras piezas conjuntas en una cassette editada en Inglaterra por el sello Mirage. La que aquí se presenta es esa edición original, que apareció bajo el título "NAÏF >> Naïf".
